The City of Yellowknife is offering free parking and transit over the holiday season.
From December 21 until January 3, city staff will not be enforcing parking meters and all transit will be free to use.
If you’re working during that time, the City asks that you avoid parking adjacent to storefronts for an extended period of time so that access isn’t impeded.
All other parking regulations will be enforced during this period, including the unauthorized parking of vehicles in fire lanes, handicap stalls and loading zones.
Drivers are also asked to respect parking restrictions on Franklin Avenue between 3:00 and 9:00am and 4:30 and 6:00pm Monday through Friday.
