Two break and enters reported at Hay River Golf Club

Hay River RCMP say they’re investigating after two break and enters at the Hay River Golf Club.

The first incident involved two unknown people around 3:13 am on Saturday, July 16. The exterior surveillance cameras were disabled before the two entered the clubhouse and stole a large quantity of alcohol.

Police say the second break and enter occurred around 4:29 am on Tuesday when two unidentified individuals entered the clubhouse where they stole a small amount of alcohol.

Police aren’t sure if the two incidents were committed by the same people.

The City of Yellowknife has begun Phase 2 of water testing in municipal buildings. The tests were begun because of elevated levels of lead reported in water at local schools. The first phase of testing detected dangerous levels of lead in 4 of the tested buildings.
