BC man charged with aggravated assault against YK cab driver

RCMP have charged a 37-year-old man from Kamloops, B.C., with aggravated assault after he allegedly assaulted a cab driver in Yellowknife Tuesday night. 

The driver had been dropping off a client in the Kam Lake area when an altercation ensued and the driver was injured.

Yellowknife RCMP were called to the scene around midnight, and the driver was transported to Stanton Hospital for medical attention.

The man was later apprehended and charged with aggravated assault. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 15.
