Yellowknife volunteers needed for snow removal program

With snow on the ground and no signs of winter letting up anytime soon, the City of Yellowknife is calling on residents to join its Snow Angels program.

The voluntary program matches residents who aren’t capable of clearing their own snowy driveways, walkways or stairs with nearby residents who can.

For people that need help with snow removal, the city says it will do its best to match them with a Snow Angel in their neighbourhood.

Meanwhile, residents who sign up to lend a helping hand can be entered into a draw for a gift certificate from True Value Hardware, the sponsor of the program.
