Police are looking for a lone suspect after a downtown Yellowknife business was robbed on Tuesday.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., RCMP say a man grabbed money from a cash register at Sutherland’s Drugs during a transaction.
While no one was injured, the suspect was able to flee the area before police arrived.
RCMP say the man has a thin build, stands roughly 5ft 5 in tall and is approximately 25 years old.
He was wearing a black toque, black snowboard-style coat and white snow pants at the time of the incident.
“The Christmas Farmers Market was in full swing [at the time of the reported robbery], so there were many people out in the general area,” said RCMP spokesperson Marie York-Condon.
“If anyone recognizes the general description of a person they may have encountered on the evening of Dec. 6, please call the Yellowknife RCMP to report.”
