Man ‘seriously’ injured following stabbing in Ndilo

A man was sent to hospital with serious injuries following a stabbing in Ndilo early Sunday.

At approximately 2:45 a.m., police responded to a report of an aggravated assault in the community.

Officers and emergency medical responders arrived to find a man with serious injuries. He was quickly sent to Stanton Territorial Hospital for treatment.

Following an investigation, police arrested and charged Kesangar Mahalingam of Toronto with aggravated assault.

Mahalingam, 25, has been remanded until Wednesday for a show cause hearing in Yellowknife.
