The city of Yellowknife is issuing a mandatory open air burning ban.
City of Yellowknife’s Fire Chief, John Fredericks, has implemented the fire ban due to increasingly dry conditions
The ban includes the use of fire pits within the city.
The open air burning ban will remain in effect until further notice.
