External agency requested following case involving RCMP vehicle

Yellowknife RCMP  are requesting help from an outside agency after a man was injured in an incident with RCMP officials.

Early in the morning of July 10th (Monday), a 35-year old man reached for an RCMP vehicle while it was moving. The man was injured in the process.

It happened on 48th street in downtown Yellowknife.

The man was taken to Stanton Territorial Hospital and later transported to Edmonton.

With an RCMP member and vehicle involved, a request for assistance from an external agency has been made.

The agency has not been named.
