IT’S FINALLY HERE!
Folk on the Rocks kicks off tonight and runs all weekend on Long Lake.
Digawolf, City and Colour and Shad are just some of the artists performing over the weekend.
Also performing at the festival is folk based trio Rosie and Riveters. Rhythm guitarist Alexis Normand is excited to be in Yellowknife for the first time.
“None of us have been to Yellowknife,” says Normand “I’ve been to Whitehorse a couple times. That’s as far north as I’ve been. I’m super pumped and I’m super excited to experience the midnight sun again so I’m looking forward to that.”
Normand and her band are performing tonight at 5:45pm at Somba K’e park for the pre festival show, Warm the Rocks.
Long Lake will hold a pre festival show tonight as well, and that kicks off at 7pm.
