Yellowknife residents city wide were hit with an unusual amount of smoke overnight.
The Yellowknife Fire Department says wind changes are causing smoke to carry over from wildfires across the NWT.
There are currently 126 wildfires burning across the territory. 57 fires have been declared out, 57 fires are being monitored for values protection, one fire is under control and 11 fires are out of control or being fought.
There are no wildfires causing immediate concern for the Hay River or Yellowknife regions.
