Massive Norwegian plane makes detour to YK

A Boeing 787 temporarily made Yellowknife it’s landing spot.

The large Norwegian passenger plane had to make a detour to YK’s airport. It had previously been on route to LAX in California when, while over Nunavut, the pilot made the decision to land. The detour was due to a medical emergency on board.

CJCD has reached out for updates on the emergency.

The 787 has since taken off for LAX. The YK airport has tweeted out a way to follow the flight.
