‘Enhanced patrols’ after Frame Lake Trail indecent act

RCMP in Yellowknife say they’ll step up patrols of the city’s Frame Lake Trail after an “indecent act” on Thursday.

Police say a drunk man “exposed his genitals to a passing cyclist” on the trail near Byrne Road on Thursday afternoon.

The suspect was not found. Police describe him as a clean-shaven Aboriginal man with short, black hair, of around six feet in height and weighing roughly 160 lb. He was dressed in black at the time.

In a press release on Friday, police said the trail would receive “enhanced patrols” – though it wasn’t clear how long those enhanced patrols would last.

A cyclist was attacked on the trail in May, the same month a 45-year-old received a seven-year sentence for a sex attack which took place on the trail in June 2014.
