Yellowknife cyclist sent to hospital after collision with car

A child is recovering from non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a car while riding their bike in Yellowknife. 

The collision happened at the intersection of Forrest Drive and Franklin Avenue when the child tried to cross the street Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the child was wearing a helmet at the time and was transported to hospital. Their present condition isn’t known.

RCMP have completed their investigation and say the driver isn’t facing any charges.
