Five arrested after drug bust at Yellowknife motel

Police arrested five people and seized crack cocaine following a drug bust at a Yellowknife motel on Tuesday.

According to an RCMP news release, drug-related charges are pending against all five.

Three people were arrested during the initial raid at the motel on Tuesday evening, where cash was discovered alongside “a quantity of crack cocaine pre-packaged for sale”.

Police then arrested two more people in downtown Yellowknife as part of the same investigation, discovering more crack in the process.

The motel in question has not been identified, though RCMP say it was located on 50 Avenue – a description that applies to several establishments.
