Yellowknife, NWT – For the second time in less than a week, the RCMP’s federal investigations unit helped police in Yellowknife perform a raid after a search warrant was executed last Wednesday.

They say a man and women were charged after marijuana, oxycodone, cash and other items related to the drug trade were seized.

Police say the raid went down at a residence on 49A Avenue.

Police won’t reveal the name of the accused, say how much marijuana or oxycodone was found.

A 33-year-old male and 25-year-old female face multiple charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking.

They are both set to appear in Yellowknife Territorial Court on July 15.

At the end of last month, a 21-year-old man was charged after marijuana, prohibited weapons, cash and other items related to drug trafficking were seized in a separate bust.
