A 34-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into a downtown Yellowknife home and sexually assaulting an occupant.
Bobby Robert Zoe, of Yellowknife, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering, sexual assault, and failing to comply with a probation order.
RCMP say that at around 5:30am on Sunday, February 15, the occupants of a downtown residence reported waking to find the man in their bedroom.
One of the occupants told police Zoe had sexually assaulted them. He is also alleged to have stolen a number of items.
Police say Zoe – who has prior convictions for sexual assault – was quickly located and arrested near the scene. He will appear in court on Tuesday.
