For a good portion of the day on June 13th, many in Yellowknife experienced a lack of service.
Internet, phone, and cable. It was all down.
It got to the point that I thought about Louis CK to put the situation into perspective.
Northwestel announced last night, later in the evening, that all services were restored.

“We have confirmed that the disruption was caused by damage to fibre infrastructure by 3rd party activity. The disruption began at approximately 1:45 PM (MST) and lasted approximately 6 hours. During that time, Northwestel was able to divert some traffic onto backup microwave and satellite networks.”
As Louis CK said, “give it a second. It’s going to space!“
