Spray painted swastikas are popping up on the Old Airport Road underpass.
It is unknown who spray painted the hateful markings and other found racially insensitive symbols and remarks in the underpass.
Inspector Matt Peggs with the Yellowknife RCMP says, “our society cannot tolerate any expression of hatred to an identifiable group and the Yellowknife RCMP takes these types of investigations very seriously.”
According to Peggs, the investigation will look into both damage to property and “Hate Propaganda Offences“.
