Visitors Association facing their ‘eleventh hour’

The future is up in the air for the Northern Frontier Visitors Association.

After being forced out of their previous location, the Association has recently been set up in the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre. The NFVA has continued its appeal process to receive funding from the City of Yellowknife and/or the Government of the Northwest Territories.

On October 1st, the agreement between the two services will be over. The Visitors Centre has yet to find a more permanent home; the Association has not secured its funding for a location.

The NFVA’s administrative offices were relocated to the Waldron Building. They’ve afforded enough for a few more months’ office rent there.

Association members are invited to a special meeting to decide whether or not the association has a future in Yellowknife.
