A new Yellowknife art project is tackling inclusivity.

‘This City V’ will see two Toronto-based artists, the Crazy Dames (Sara Udow and Jennie Suddick), leading day time workshops with Yellowknife high school students.

According to Yellowknife Artist Run Community Center, the workshops will “look to community members to share stories and ideas about how to create inclusive spaces and answer the question ‘What does an inclusive space look like and feel like in Yellowknife?’

The event kicked off last night and will run until Friday. The public is welcome to come ‘activate’ the space over the Thanksgiving weekend in the old Bank of Montreal space in the lower level of the Centre Square Mall.

A final workshop will be held in the old BMO space starting at 2:30pm on October 10th.
