Report on the legalization of marijuana made public

The Government of the Northwest Territories announced yesterday that a report on the legalization of marijuana is now public.

The report is called ‘Cannabis Legalization in the Northwest Territories – What We Heard‘. It is the collective feedback of NWT residents on how the government should regulate marijuana.

Over this past summer, the GNWT asked for public opinion on what is being proposed through the cannabis legalization guidelines. This included in-person town meetings, an online website dedicated to the matter, as well as a survey.

The Federal Government made a public commitment earlier this year to legalize marijuana by July, 2018.
