Whippersnappers beat Code Blue to tie for 1st

In local sports from the weekend:

Some good ol’ fashioned Ultimate Frisbee.

The Whippersnappers (2-1) beat the then undefeated Code Blue (2-1) 22 – 18.

Pink (1-2) won 21- 15 over the White Walkers (0-3).

Both Code Blue and The Whippersnappers are tied for first at 2-1.

Adult drop is this Thursday night, 6:00 – 7:00. Youth Drop starts on November 7th, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.

This Sunday will see the The Whippersnappers face off against the win-less White Walkers.

Code Blue and Pink will square off as well.

That all goes down at The Fieldhouse.

Aklavik Access Road closes April 30, one day earlier than anticipated

The N.W.T. Department of Infrastructure has closed the Aklavik Access Road as the winter road season comes to a close. On Wednesday, the department issued a 72-hour closure caution but warned that the road “may close sooner with little to no notice.”
