Truck catches fire, spreads to nearby building

Early Wednesday morning, the Yellowknife Fire Division responded to a call reporting a truck on fire.

The blaze took place at 139 Curry Drive. A water tanker and ambulance were redirected from a fire that occurred earlier in N’dilo.

The truck fire had spread to a nearby building. The truck was extinguished. The building fire took a little long to fight. Fire damage had occurred to the front wall.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.

Similar to the N’dilo fire, the Office of the Fire Marshal for the Northwest Territories has been contacted to initiate an investigation.
