Yellowknife RCMP search for missing 15-year old girl

Yellowknife RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding a 15-year old girl.

Maiya Klengenberg was last seen late last night at around 9:45pm.

She was last spotted near Old Airport Road and Range Lake Road.

Klengenberg is described as 5’3″ tall, roughly 120lbs, with shoulder-length black hair.

It is unclear what caused the encounter, but experts advise that the public should keep food and food waste in airtight containers to prevent encounters, as bears have a keen sense of smell.
