A Yellowknife man is facing charges following an assault and robbery case last week.

Yellowknife RCMP responded to a call last Thursday after a cab driver had been attacked.

The robbery took place in an alley way in the 54th street area. The suspect was found and brought into custody.

The 28-year old man faces five charges, including Robbery, Disguise with Intent, Uttering Threats to Cause Death and two counts of Failing to comply with conditions of undertaking or recognizance.

He has been remanded and will appear in court in the new year on January 2nd.
