Expansion to Ice Carving Championship sees more teams than ever before

A record number of ice carving teams will be coming to Yellowknife.

15 teams from around the World are scheduled to be in the territory’s capital for the 6th annual De Beers Inspired Ice – International Ice Carving Championship.

The expansion in the event was thanks to an additional $5 000 grant from De Beers.

The diamond company had previously agreed to a five year, $150 000 contract to support the event.
