UPDATE: Pedestrian killed in single vehicle crash

Yellowknife RCMP continue to investigate a collision from this morning.

A 35-year old man has been confirmed as the pedestrian killed in the crash. He had been driving along Highway 3 when he stepped out of his vehicle moments before being struck by an on-coming truck. The man’s name was not provided.

The section of the highway, approximately mile marker 311, was closed briefly. It has since been re-opened.

The investigation is continuing. RCMP has confirmed that charges have not been laid.
