Abel still listed as a missing person

Yellowknife RCMP are still listing Detacho Anis Abel as a missing person.

Over the last 24 hours, listeners have reported to us that Abel has been found, but the RCMP confirmed that that is not the case.

Media Communications for the Northwest Territories RCMP Marie York-Condon said, via email, that the missing person must contact local police before they are taken off the list.

In general, for any person reported missing, until they contact the local police of jurisdiction in person, they will remain listed as missing.

Abel is described by police as a First Nations man – who is 5’7”, 205 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
