Catholic School Board office fire cause undetermined

Some more details have been shared on the Catholic School Board office fire.

When fire officials attended the scene, a tenant of the building reported smoke in her suite. Smoke was also noted at the roofline of the building during the on-scene inspection.

18 fire personnel responded to the call. According to the City of Yellowknife, the fire took 2 hours and 49 minutes to fully put out.

As mentioned before, no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was not determined at the scene.

The Office of the Fire Marshal for the Northwest Territories has been contacted to begin an investigation.
