The Department of Infrastructure has announced that a section of Highway 1, near the Alberta/NWT border, is closed.
INF made the announcement via Twitter.

A second tweet was issued asking motorists to drive with caution along Highway 1. The section of road had been experiencing low visibility due to blowing snow.
Drivers should use extreme caution while driving on #NWTHwy1 as there low visibility. Slow down and watch for equipments working on the road. // Les automobilistes doivent être très prudent en conduisant sur la #TNORoute1 car la visibilité est réduite par endroit. #NWT #TNO
