Alleged cash grab on Inuvik-Yellowknife flight leads to arrest

An Aklavik man is currently awaiting a remand hearing after a confrontation during a flight.

RCMP were called to the Yellowknife airport on Sunday after the 26-year old man was accused of stealing cash from the in-flight purchase float. The plane had been travelling from Inuvik to Yellowknife.

The alleged in-flight cash grab is not related to the detouring Boeing 787.

Police say the investigation is continuing.
