Highway updates: closures and delays expected

Delays are expected on Thursday along Highway 1 at the NWT/Alberta border going to Fort Providence.

The Government of the Northwest Territories’ Department of Infrastructure says the delays are due to a wide load. They added that it could last up to thirty minutes.

In a separate announcement, Dempster Highway is closed up North due to blowing snow. The closure is between Fort McPherson and Eagle Plains.
