Former City SAO to retire

Former SAO Dennis Kefalas.

The City of Yellowknife is losing one its top officials.

Former Senior Administrative Officer and current Director of Public Works and Engineering, Dennis Kefalas, is stepping down.

Kefalas served as the City’s SAO during the initial complaint process for the Doug Gillard allegations in 2014.

In 2016, Kefalas requested to be moved back to his original role in Public Works and Engineering.

Kefalas will serve his last day on May 11th. He will then retire.

The inquiry into the Doug Gillard allegations began in late March.
