NWT Francophone Federation names new General Director

The Northwest Territories Francophone Federation has chosen a new General Director.

The Directors of the Federation have chosen longtime Yellowknife resident and City Councillor, Linda Bussey.

President of the Francophone Federation, Catherine Barlow, said in a statement (translated from French) that Bussey’s experience with working with many organizations will come in handy for her new position.

Ms. Bussey is well-known in Yellowknife, being involved with several organizations for a long time. Her political and interpersonal skills are undeniable. Armed with knowledge and professional experience, she has proven to be the ideal candidate for a senior management position. Showing a lot of enthusiasm and motivation for her new role, Ms. Bussey gives us confidence in the future of the Federation. It will certainly meet the many challenges ahead.

Bussey will replace Jean de Dieu Tuyishime. She will begin her new position as General Director for the Francophone Federation.
