GNWT advise Peel River ice crossing to close

The Government of the Northwest Territories’ Department of Infrastructure is advising NWT residents in the Northwest that the Peel River ice crossing will be closing.

The Peel River crosses the NWT-Yukon border, and the crossing is close to residents in the Fort McPherson area.

INF advises that “low clearance vehicles are not recommended.

The closure is expected to take place within the next 48 hours.
