Gumboot Rally reaches second-highest total in 26 years

The 2018 Gumboot Rally is being considered a huge success.

The event, held this past Saturday, raised exactly $24 363.06 for the Yellowknife Association for Community Living. That number is the second-highest total in 26 years!

12 teams competed in gumboot-themed games. The YKACL awarded prizes to participating teams and team members.

  • Most Donors: Theresa Watson – 51 donors
  • Top Fundraiser: Karen Lajoie – $4 080
  • Top Fundraising Team: Beyond a Reasonable Trout – $8 953
  • Best Costumes: Speech Thor-apists
  • Most Enthusiastic: Moose FM (That’s us!)

Donate and come out next year for another fun day of boot-based games.
