Aurora College changes leadership

After six years as President of Aurora College, Jane Arychuk has resigned from the position, effective May 31.

“It has been an honour and a pleasure serving as President of Aurora College,” said Arychuk.

“I am proud of what we have accomplished at the College, including the opportunities Aurora College has provided to the many students from across the NWT.”

Minister of Education, Culture and Employment, Caroline Cochrane, announced the resignation of the Aurora College President and the appointment of an Interim President today in a press release.

“Ms. Arychuk has demonstrated a deep commitment to the College, faculty, staff and students. We wish Ms. Arychuk all the very best in her future endeavours,” said Minister Cochrane.

Minister Cochrane appointed Jeff O’Keefe, currently the Vice President, Student Affairs, as Interim President of Aurora College until a permanent successor has been hired.

O’Keefe has been Vice President of Student Affairs at the college for the past three years.
