Yellowknife reaches record low temperature
September in Yellowknife continues to be chillier than normal. Environment Canada records show a record low was set at the Yellowknife Airport Sunday.
It reached as low as -2.0 degrees Celsius around 6 a.m., unofficially breaking the previous record of -1.1 degrees set in 2004. The average low for September 9th in Yellowknife is 5.2 degrees.
Daily highs in the single digits are in the forecast for the rest of this week, with Environment Canada calling for a chance of snow Friday.
