Yellowknife breaks more temperature records
The City of Yellowknife managed to break two weather records Tuesday. It set both the minimum temperature and the minimum high temperature for September 11th.
It reached a low of minus 2 degrees, besting the previous record low of minus 1.7 degrees set in 1972. The day also only warmed up to a high 3.2 degrees, another record.
The average low for Yellowknife on September 11th is 4.8 degrees, while the average high is 11.7 degrees. The Environment Canada forecast is calling for more below normal temperatures for the rest of the week.
