Norman Wells RCMP seek public’s help finding missing man

Norman Wells RCMP are seeking the public’s help to find 20-year-old Darren Whiteman after he was reported missing yesterday.

Whiteman is described as Indigenous, 5’9” tall, 120 lbs, slender build with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen by family members  at a cabin on Lennie Lake around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.

A ground, water and air search has been initiated in the area. However, RCMP advise that Darren may be anywhere in the vicinity.

Norman Wells RCMP, Norman Wells Ground Search and Rescue Unit, local helicopter services (Sahtu Helicopters) and community volunteers, including family, are assisting with the search.
