Search still underway for missing Norman Wells man

A search is still on-going for a Norman Wells man who went missing last week

Norman Wells RCMP, in partnership with the community, are continuing search efforts to find 20-year-old Darren Whiteman after he was reported missing on September 12.

Whiteman is described as Indigenous, 5’9” tall, 120 lbs, slender build with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen by family members at a cabin on Lennie Lake around 11:00 p.m. last Tuesday evening.

“A multitude of resources have been engaged to assist with the search, including RCMP Police Dog Services, as well as air and marine components,” a RCMP news release states. “Local SAR volunteers have been working around the clock and have reached out to surrounding communities to assist with further search efforts.”
