City of Yellowknife seeking workers for election day

The city needs the public’s help with the upcoming election. Yellowknife is looking for people for election day jobs like poll supervisors, deputy returning officers and poll clerks.

 

Poll supervisors run voting stations and experience is needed.

 

Deputy returning officers give out and count of ballots; help voters and administering oaths.

 

Poll clerks keep track of voters and help deputy returning officer.

Those hired will be paid $250 – 350 for their time, as well as $25 for the mandatory training. They will start work at 9 a.m. on election day October 15th until the ballots are all counted.

 

Visit the City of Yellowknife’s website to submit an application. It says it is looking to fill the positions as soon as possible, so interested applicants are encouraged to apply ASAP.
