Your typical route may be closed this Saturday for a jolly big man in a red costume. Due to the Santa Claus Parade, there will be road closures this Saturday from 5-7 p.m. The parade will start at City Hall and proceed along Franklin Avenue and then down 49th street.
There will be floats that have been decorated by local schools, businesses and organizations for your enjoyment.
For those attending early, the city suggests exploring the shops in downtown Yellowknife that are staying open for the duration of the parade and have dinner at one of the many local restaurants.
Centre Square Mall will also be open between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. for the Holiday Market featuring local vendors and kids’ activities.
