Expect 10 to 15 centimetres of snow today in Hay River, Fort Resolution and surrounding areas of the South Slave region.
An Environment Canada snowfall warning is in effect for the South Slave region including Hay River, Enterprise, Fort Providence, Kakisa and Fort Smith.
“A low-pressure system in northern Alberta will move east through the day, bringing with it 10 to 15 cm of fresh snow to the region,” the weather warning reads.
Travelers are warned rapidly changing weather conditions and accumulation of snowfall can make travel difficult.
