Tłı̨chǫ winter road to Whatı̀ now open

Another winter road is open in the Northwest Territories.

The Tłı̨chǫ winter road to Whatı̀ has opened the afternoon of February 8th at 2:00 p.m. for vehicles weighing up to 8,000 kilograms (gross vehicle weight). The GNWT also warns of soft spots along edges on portages and reminds the public that the speed limit throughuot the winter road is 50 km/h.

The winter roads to Gamètı̀ and Wekweètı̀ are currently under construction.
