Yellowknife RCMP confirm Saidee Gosselin’s safety in Edmonton

Missing Yellowknife girl Saidee Gosselin has been found safe in Edmonton.

That’s according to a news release issued by Yellowknife RCMP Monday night.

On March 2, police announced that the 14-year-old was reported missing by her family.

At the time, her family hadn’t seen her since February 27 but had suspicions she may have travelled to Edmonton.

Shortly after being reported missing, the teen made contact with police and Moose FM via phone and social media to say she was in fact in Edmonton.

But since neither party could definitively confirm her whereabouts or condition, police kept their investigation open until she spoke with police in Edmonton – something which has now happened.

“Saidee Gosselin has been located safe in Edmonton,” said RCMP in a statement.

“The assistance of both the public and the media has been appreciated.

“Our file is now concluded. Out of respect for privacy, no further details will be provided.”
