Yellowknife RCMP looking for armed robbery suspect

Yellowknife RCMP responded to an armed robbery at Kim’s Confectionery at approximately 7:30 PM on Tuesday, March 5th.

A lone man entered the store, brandishing a knife, while demanding money from the clerk. The suspect was unsuccessful and fled the area.

The suspect is described as being of Inuit descent, approximately 5’11 tall, with a thin build. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with a black t-shirt over top.

The convenience store located at the corner of 54 Street and Franklin Avenue and Cst. Heather Cosenzo, of the Yellowknife RCMP asks anyone who was in the area of 54 street and Franklin Avenue between 7:00 – 7:45 PM to contact them.
