Deh Cho Bridge to have toll increase

Commercial vehicles driving on Deh Cho Bridge are about to have to pay a little more than their previous trips. GNWT has announced that starting on April 1st, toll rates for commercial vehicles driving on Deh Cho Bridge is increasing by 2.3 per cent.

The increases are following the NWT Consumer Price Index and are reviewed on an annual basis. The following are the toll increases;

 

Toll Purchased

  • Toll A (2-4 axles or pick-up truck or bus with trailer) increases from $99 to $101
  • Toll B (5 or 6 axles [excluding pick-up truck or bus]) increases from $179 to $183
  • Toll C (7 or 8 axles [excluding pick-up truck or bus]) increases from $315 to $322
  • Toll D (9 or more axles [excluding pick-up truck or bus]) increases from $408 to $417

 

Toll Remitted

  • Toll A (2-4 axles or pick-up truck or bus with trailer) increases from $80 to $82
  • Toll B (5 or 6 axles [excluding pick-up truck or bus]) increases from $161 to $165
  • Toll C (7 or 8 axles [excluding pick-up truck or bus]) increases from $296 to $303
  • Toll D (9 or more axles [excluding pick-up truck or bus]) increases from $390 to $399

 

Tolls on Deh Cho bridge only apply to northbound vehicles weighing over 4,500 kilograms. All other vehicles are not required to pay a toll.
