The Sambaa K’e and Mackenzie Valley winter roads are closed for the season. Tlicho winter roads are open for night travel only.
The infrastructure department is warning people that travel on closed winter roads is ‘unsafe and illegal.’ A fine of $863 is possible if travellers are caught driving on a closed winter road.
