$25,000 in scholarships for mine training in NWT and Kitikmeot

A new $25,000 scholarship fund has been created for young adults in mining in the territory.
The fund was announced Friday. It will be awarded by the Mine Training Society for 18- to 30-year-olds in the NWT and Nunavut’s Kitikmeot region. The scholarship is a partnership between the GNWT, Diamond Empowerment Fund and the Mine Training Society.
The scholarships will be administered by the Mine Training Society and are aimed at young people to further their careers within diamond mining.
